Campground Information and Photos

Launch Pointe RV Park is located in Lake Elsinore in Southern California. It is a privately owned campground and offers RV sites, a Yurt Village and a vintage Airstream area. We kept our boat in the Storage area where we could retrieve it and launch it daily while we were there. There is a pool to enjoy as well as a Playground and Splash Pad for the kids. They have Bait and Tackle on site as well as the Bobber Restaurant.

June of 2021 – Camping in Lake Elsinore – Launch Pointe RV Park

We camped and launched our boat at the Launch Pointe RV Park in Lake Elsinore CA. The RV Park is fairly new and was very nice. It was easy to store our boat in the overnight storage area and launch it daily. We camped in “The Fields” area. It was nice to have the grassy area! The pool was great to relax by. I’m sharing some photos and the RV Park brochure.

We were emailed a long list of policies and rules. One was – “Charcoal grills are limited to 2 square feet in surface area”. We brought our small weber BBQ. When we arrived at Launch Pointe, we were given the Camp brochure. In that brochure’s list of General rules – “Charcoal grills, wood fires pits, deep fryers and tiki torches are PROHIBITED”. Well .. now we have an issue. Our email said we could use a small grill. We decided to walk over to the Bobber restaurant for dinner instead of BBQ’ing what we brought. While walking over to the Bobber, we saw another camper grilling on a small table top weber. The Bobber ended up being closed. We tried to call the office a few times and no answer, so we went back to our campsite and used our small Weber. No one came by or said anything, so I guess we were fine. BUT .. no real place to dump coals. We just dumped them in a trash bag the next day. I guess this is more like “Glamping” where you need a gas grill and gas fire pit.

CAMPGROUND PHOTOS

We camped in site 108 in the Track & Trails Parkway. I really liked this spot by the grass and with the view of the lake. We had some young adults next to us .. check out their messy campsite in the gallery! HaHa … oh boy! At one point they were playing strip beer pong .. I say strip because one guy did get down to his chonies. They weren’t annoying but the music was loud at times. I think their hangovers the next day did them in.

ON THE LAKE

We had never fished Lake Elsinore before, so didn’t find the big boys, but did manage to catch a few smalls. And, yes, the lake is that green. We had a friend come by and fish with us. He flew his drone and got some great photos of our boat on the lake.
