After seeing the Campfire Cones and an idea on Pinterest of splitting a banana down the middle, filling it with mini marshmellows and chocolate chips, wrapping in foil, putting it over the fire and eating … I decided to buy some Waffle Bowls and make a bowl of goodness!  And, good it was!

Here are my ingredients –

First I added my chocolate chips and marshellow to get them near the bottom to heat up the most.

Second I added my nuts and third my fruit.  I used one piece of regular foil .. but later found out that I should have used a double layer or heavy duty.

All wraped up and ready for the fire.

In the fire –

Mine was the first to go in the fire and the bottom of my waffle bowl burned.  So, everyone else, doubled up the foil and my husband moved the wood to be flat so everyone could place their Campfire Bowl on the wood and not down on the hot coals/flame.

See how mine burnt on the edges and the bottom was burnt as well.  The sides and all of my ingredients were really good!  Everyone loved making them and eating them.  They were a much lighter dessert than a S’more and fun to make!
