Campfire starters Cut your wax into small pieces. They will melt faster this way.
CampSite Cut the top off of your egg carton
Fill the holes with dryer lint. Pack it in tight.
Cut each section apart.
Fold down the tops
Tie with dental floss. Leave a tail long enough to hold while the firestarter is down in the wax.

Get a big pan and fill it with some water .. about 3 inches or so.

Place your wax pieces in the can and get the water boiling and then turn down.

I started with a little bit of wax at a time, but ended up using the entire box. You will have extra wax in your can for the next time.

Do not leave the can with wax unattended. I watched it and a few boiling bubbles got under the can and made it wiggle a bit. Have pot holders on hand.

My firestarters are ready for wax!
My water is boiling. Time to turn it down a bit.

When the wax is melted, hold a tail and dip your firestarter into the wax. I also used a skewer to push the firestarter down into the wax.

Wait until all of the air bubbles have disappeared before pulling it out of the wax.

Place your firestarter on foil to dry.

Here we go at the firepit.

We made a little stack of wood to get our fire started.

Burning quite well.

We then added more wood to the fire.

These firestarters work really well!
